The Shannara Chronicles: Catania's Hair Tutorial

I wanted to post this a long time ago, but sh*t happens. Catania's hairstyle is the only one changing in this show, always wearing kind of like a crown braid, but with different variations, (also given the fact I cut my hair really short it was impossible to make an identical copy to one of the style Catania wore) so I had to make my own inspired style from them, I will write down how you can make this hairstyle if you have longer hair than mine. Quería postear esto hace mucho tiempo, pero sh*t happens. El hairstyle de Catania es el único en constante cambio en el show, siempre llevando un estilo tipo corona de trenzas pero con diferentes variaiones, (dado también el hecho que decidí cortarme súper el pelo era imposible recrear un copia identica a uno de los estilo que Catania usaba) tuve que crear mi propio estilo inspirado en ellos. Dejaré escrito paso por paso como puede hacer este hairstyle si tiene pelo más largo que el mio. Espero te guste! xx

 

1. Part your hair from the middle.

Start with one side: 
2. Grab two strands of hair and start twisting outward and for every twist grab a small amount of hair, you should go all the way from the side of your face, behind your ear and all the way to the back and finish all your hair and secure with an elastic.

 With both sides done, you can go to ways:
1. Grab both sides and start twisting around each other, pin the down (with a bunch of bobby pins) to the base of your neck creating kind of like a rose or bun of sorts.
2. Secure with an elastic both sides at the base of the neck, from the base to the end un-twist the hair. Start twisting all the hair, eventually the hair will start to twist on his own use this and start make the "rose form or bun" and use a lot of bobby pins to secure all.

1. Divide tu pelo a la mitad.

Comienza con un solo lado:
1. Agarra dos porciones de cabello (cerca de tu frente) y empieza a enrollar esas dos porciones hacia afuera, deberás de ir por todo el lado de cara, detrás de tu oreja y hasta llegar al final de tu cabello y termina con una cola o elástico.

Con ambos lados terminados puedes ir de dos maneras:
1. Agarra ambos lados ya terminados y empieza a enrollarlos entro ellos creando una forma de rosa en la base de tu cuello, utiliza ganchos andinos para dejar todo en su lugar.
2. Utiliza una cola para asegurar ambos lados en la base del cuello, de la base al final desenrolla ambos lados. Empieza a enrollar todo tu cabello, el mismo con el movimiento empezará a enrollarse en si mismo utiliza esto y empieza a crear la misma forma de rosa, finaliza con la ayuda de ganchos andinos para dejar todo en su lugar.

Hair Tutorial: Amberle "The Shannara Chronicles"

The Shannara Chronicles is one of the new TV Series of 2016 and my favorite one. 

I love everything from this shows, especially the hair, outfits and makeup for the girls! That's why I'm showing how to do Amberle Elessedil Hair Tutorial! 

This is an easy hairstyle, you can use bobby pins like I did or hair elastics to old everything together, hairspray and a curly wand or whatever you use to curl your hair. 

I've been using this hairstyle for a couple of days now, it's easy and quick to do and you can wear it to the gym to old your bangs or those baby hairs or for an everyday basis.

The Shannara Chronicles es una de las nuevas series de este 2016 y mi favorito. Adoro todo de este show, en especial los peinados, outfits y maquillaje para las actrices! Es por eso que hoy te enseñaré como hacer el peinado de Amberle Elessedil! 

Este es un peinado fácil de hacer, puedes usar ganchos andinos como lo hice yo o elásticos para mantener todo, hairspray y una rizadora de cabello o lo que sea que uses para rizar tu cabello.

He estado usando este peinado por varios días ya , es fácil y rápido de hacer y lo puede usar ya sea para ir al gym y agarrar tu flequillo o los pelitos bebés o también para el día día.

2015 Favorites

It's a new year and with that we say goodbye to the good and bad things from last year, and we welcome with open arms the new things to come this year. 

My first post for this 2016 (just like almost every blogger) it's a 2015 favorite, things I've used this past year that I loved. These are the six makeup and beauty/skin and hair care products I loved this past 2015.

Es un nuevo año y así le decimos adios a los buenos y malos momentos del año pasado y recibimos con brazos abiertos las cosas buenas que están por venir este año. 
Mi primer post de este 2016 (similar a la mayoría de los bloggers) son los Favoritos del 2015, cosas que he usado ese año que no pare de usar. Estos son los 6 productos variando de maquillaje, cuidado de la  piel y cabello que use y ame este pasado 2015. 

1. Swiss Army Perfume for her.

This is also my first empty ever. I love everything from it, the color, the simple shape and the fact I could take it with me to my travels. It has a really strong smell at first, but it gets softer through-out the day, I had a lot of compliments from the smell and I hope I can get my hands-on another one.

Este es también el primero que termino. Amo todo! El fuerte color rojo, la simple forma y el hecho que lo podía  llevar conmigo a mis viajes. Al ponerselo tiene un fuerte olor los primeros minutos/horas pero se suaviza en el día,  tuve mucho cumplidos por su olor y espero poder tener otro de estos luego. 

2. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.

This is something I never though I would use, I'm a big fan of lotions and I have a lot of them but, I never used them until my skin started getting really dry. I decided to use this one because it was my great-grandmother's favorite lotion and her skin always felt soft. What I like about is that I don't feel the lotion unlike the Victoria's  Secret one (my skin feels heavy and very oily after apply it), it's gentle to my skin and last for hours.

Esto es algo que sinceramente nunca pensé que usaría, me gustan mucho las cremas y tengo muchas de ellas, pero nuncas las uso regularmente, solamente cuando mi piel esta muy seca. Decidí empezar a usar esta porque siempre fue la favorita de mi bisabuela y recuerdo que su piel siempre esta suave. Lo que me gusta de esta crema es que no se siente comparándola a las de Victoria's Secret (mi piel siempre se siente como pesada y demasiado grasosa despues de usarla), es muy gentil en mi piel y dura por horas. 

3. Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunscreen.

Being a swimmer isn't easy, apart from the workouts, your skin and hair gets really damaged (at least in my case). My hair went from straight with no frizz, to extremely curly with a lot of frizz; my skin gets dry from being in the pool for so long but, my face gets even worse, red (from being under the sun for too long) and with a lot of white patches, the sunscreens I had weren't protecting me from the sun, but this Neutrogena Sunscreen really makes wonders for me.

Ser nadadora no es fácil, a parte de los duros entrenamientos mi piel y pelo siempre están maltratados. Mi pelo pasado de ser liso y sin frizz a demasiado rizado y frizz, mi piel se pone muy seca por estar tanto tiempo dentro de la piscina, pero mi cara se pone aún peor, roja (por estar tanto tiempo bajo el sol) y con muchos parches blancos (por descoloración), los bloqueadores que usaba no me estaban protegiendo, pero este de Neutrogena de verdad que hace milagros para mi. 

4. Kiss Insta Wave.




I was sent this product two years ago, I didn't use much then because I had long hair and for some reason the curls wouldn't stay and my hair would get all frizzy and big, but last year I decided to cut my hair as short as a I could and it's be working very well ever since. It's really easy to use, I either use it the way they show you (using the arrows to move the barrel left or right at let it do the magic) or just like a normal curler (wrapping your hair around the barrel).

Me mandaron este producto hace dos años, en ese tiempo no la usaba mucho porque tenía pelo largo y aunque no lo crean los rizos no duraban nada y mi pelo se ponía esponjado y con frizz; pero el año pasado decidí cortarme el pelo lo más que podía y me ha funcionado. Es muy fácil de usar, yo lo uso de dos manera: de la manera que ellos te enseñan (utilizando las flechas para mover la barra a la izquierda o derecha y dejarla que haga su magia) o como una rizadora normal (enrollas tu misma el pelo alrededor de la barra). 


5. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer. 


I got this early last year because I emptied my Profusion Concealer (my very first concealer and one of my favorites too), it's in the shade 335 Light/Medium it has a really good coverage for my skin, unfortunately it's a bit too pink for my skin in winter but, it's great for summer when I'm tanned, I will try to get another shade with a more yellowy tone and I definitely recommend this.

Me compré este el año pasado porque terminé mi corrector de Profusion (mi primer correcto y uno de mis favoritos), este ese el tono 225 Light/Medium tapa muy bien las imperfecciones en la piel, desafortunadamente es muy rosado para el color de piel que tengo ahorita (pálida como fantasma) pero la uso mucho para verano que es cuando estoy más bronceada, trataré de buscar un color con tono más amarillo.


6. Beauty Treats Eyeshadow Palette.

If you're looking for cheap matte eyeshadow palette with more brown tones this is the one. I've used all the colors in this palette, they're very pigmented and work and look nice in my skin. As you can see the second dark brown color is the one I've used the most, it's the color I use for my brow (with a little bit of the littler shade of brown) and sometimes I use it as an eyeliner for a more natural look.

Si estas buscando una paleta de colores que sea matte, barata y con color más cafes este es la que necesitas. He usado todos los colores de esta paleta, son muy pigmentados y trabajan y se ven muy bien sobre mi piel. Pueden notar que segundo cafe claro es el que más he usado, es el que uso para mis cejas (combinado con el tono claro) y otras veces lo uso como delineador de ojos para un look más natural.
